About Us

A historic parish serving the Catholic community of Amritsar for over 160 years

St. Francis Catholic Church, located in Amritsar, is a historic and vibrant parish that has been serving the Roman Catholic community for over 160 years. Situated near the cantonment area, the church stands as a symbol of faith, unity, and spiritual devotion.

Dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi, the church reflects his values of humility, compassion, and service to the poor. Over generations, it has grown into a spiritual home for countless families, nurturing faith and strengthening community bonds.

The parish operates under the Diocese of Jalandhar and is guided by devoted clergy. In addition to regular worship services, the church actively participates in social and educational initiatives, including its association with St. Francis School.

Recently, the church has undergone significant renovation, preserving its heritage while improving its structure for future generations. Today, it continues to serve as a center for prayer, celebration, and community service.
